How it all started

James Covart started Hospitality Services Group in Boston MA, in 1989 by accident. He had worked in the restaurant industry for years and established many purchasing, operations and daily function solutions to make independent restaurants successful. 1 client turned into 2, then 5, then 20. After moving to NH with his family and commuting for a numbers of years, he moved the business to Bedford, NH.

Kate was working with Jim’s son Frank when he mentioned his father was looking to hire someone to help him as a purchasing specialist. She got an interview and the rest is history. Kate worked side by side with Jim for 16 years until the beginning of this year when ownership was transferred to her.
